I believe that science lessons for kindergarten should teach students the basics in order to give them a foundation from which to build. Through hands-on lessons and activities, students learn scientific skills such as observing and predicting, as well as the scientific principles of investigation and experimentation.
The 3 resources above were designed to support students in their role of scientists as they help a fictional community investigate why there were no monarch caterpillars in the area since it was changed from a field to a vegetable garden. Students learn to make observations and use new knowledge to record an explanation for the fictional community.
